My name is Dr. Mehrdad Razavi. I am a sleep specialist and Medical Director of Innovative Sleep Centers. I am board certified as a Diplomate, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Sleep Medicine. My background includes 30 years of medical experience, including 20 years in neurology, and 10 years in sleep medicine. I established Innovative Sleep Centers in 2010, with the mission of providing non-pharmacologic, comprehensive, inter-disciplinary, sleep care to patients with a variety of sleep disorders, particularly sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy.
After finishing my medical training, I was on faculty of the Department of Neurology of both the University of Iowa and Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, before moving to private practice in Iowa. There I established the largest Memory Disorder Program (with 800 dementia patients), focusing on early diagnosis as well as both pharmacological and non-pharmacological intervention, i.e. cognitive rehabilitation. Previously, I was the President of the International Society for Cognitive Rehabilitation (SCR). To educate and raise awareness of our local medical and general community, I am a featured national speaker and Medical Director of the Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Disciplines (ACSDD), the most inter-disciplinary sleep organization on the national level.
I enjoy being able to provide care to patients with a full range of sleep disorders and helping people improve the quality of their lives. Below are highlights of my training and experience.
