Jamie grew up in Utah and graduated from college in Walla Walla, Washington in 2006. She worked as a geologist for several years, until transitioning to the medical field. She received her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2014.
She completed a critical care residency and worked for many years at the University of Utah and Huntsman Cancer Institute in two separate intensive care units. There, she cared for many types of patients, including those with respiratory disorders who required the use of respiratory devices including mechanical ventilation and positive airway pressure or PAP devices. She has also worked in homeless primary and urgent care, hospital medicine, and the emergency department. She aspires to help her patients feel well-rested in order to take on the challenges of life as well as spending time with those they love doing what they enjoy.
She enjoys the beauty of the outdoors, riding bikes, caring for animals, spending time with loved ones and working with her great team!
