Nancy completed her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2010 while working as a primary care provider. She graduated with a BS from the Osteopathic University of Health Sciences, in Des Moines IA, in 2001.. She continued with post-graduate studies at Oregon Health Sciences University, completing an Ophthalmology residency, which led to employment in the surgical field of Oculoplastics. She continued to pursue knowledge by moonlighting in Urgent Care for Maritime Medical, KP and Providence Health.

Nancy’s community involvement began during her residency, when she was selected to serve on the OHSU PA program faculty selection committee, and was elected to OSPA as a Director at Large before serving as Secretary. She has traveled on various humanitarian missions providing care in Albania, and Latin America.  She continues her national involvement as an AAPA research reviewer. She is a contributing editor for various journals including JAPPA and the Clinical Advisor, and provides continuing education as a mentor for the OHSU PA program.

Nancy’s philosophy for practicing health care is that each patient deserves 100% of her attention and compassion during their time in the clinic.
